MIT’s Technology Review has announced its India TR35 list for 2011 representing innovators, all under age 35, who exemplify innovation in business and technology. Mr. Gautam Kumar, 26, Co - Founder, RoboticWares Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar was named as the Social Innovator of the year 2011. Most urban homes in India use liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplied in cylinders for cooking. Leakages from the cylinder are common and thousands of people die every year due to cylinder blasts caused by leakages in kitchens.

Kumar has developed a simple gas detection system using a sensor and communication module to issue warning to user’s registered mobile phone. Called Suraksha (safety in Hindi), it is another innovation that should improve safety levels in millions of Indian homes in the coming years.
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & EIILM India Leadership summit has honored Mr. Gautam Kumar as ENTREPRENEURS OF TOMORROW AWARD in 2012.

A first National Conference on Tracking and Navigation 2012 at New Delhi on 2nd and 3rd February, 2012, which focused on the usage of GPS in India and also relevant developments in GPS across the world. Mr. Gautam Kumar was invited to deliver a talk on innovations and trends in GPS. RoboticWares Pvt. Ltd. got i3 - award at 3rd position in NewDelhi in 2013 for the product fareye Dispatch N Delivery solution (Android based application, for e commerce and logistic industry).

INDIA INNOVATION INITIATIVE – i3 : Opportunity to harness innovations for wealth generation and societal benefit. To promote and inculcate a spirit of innovation in India, numerous initiatives have been taken by the Indian government as well as by Industry/academic leaders to encourage and harness breakthrough technology ideas in the society. One of the significant steps is "India Innovation Initiative" or “ i3 ” - a joint initiative of Agilent, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India (DST) & Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), which aims at promoting young innovators and facilitates the commercialization of the innovations and creating an innovation eco-system in the country by sensitizing, encouraging the innovators / innovations.
